Good Morning,
The students are having so much fun with this thematic unit and learning information that will help them become more informed citizens. I wanted to take some time to give you as parents some resources that will help you facilitate learning outside the classroom. Please refer to the reasearch portion of the site to get familiar with what your children are learning.
Thank you,
Miss. Fabian

Good Afternoon,
As we get farther in the year I thought it would be a good idea to explain an important part of our classroom, becasue we are a green classroom, technolgy is a very important learning and teaching tool for us this year, e-mints is a very important teaching tool for me as a educator and I wanted to make sure you as parents understand what e-mints is. eMINTS is an acronym for the project enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies, it helps integrate technology in the classroom to create an better learning enviormnet. Heres a link if you would like to check out their site!

Dear Parents
Hello, I’m Danielle and I am the new third grade teacher at Festus elementary and I am absolutely thrilled to be working with the fourth graders this year. My goal for this year is teach the necessary information required for entrance into the fourth grade in a new and exciting way. I have an open door policy and would love to meet each one of the parents or guardians of the students I will have in class so please contact me with any questions or concerns or just to introduce yourself.
I am so looking forward to September’s arrival so we can get started on some of the exciting things I have planned for this year, our first thematic unit is on the subject of endangered animals. The students are going to become more environmentally aware and learn so much about the world around us. We are planning an exciting trip to the St. Louis Zoo where students will be able to firsthand see the endangered species they are studying so they can better connect to the subject matter. We will be studying the history of some of these animals, learn more about their natural habitats, their eating habits and the different steps that can be taken to help save these animals. This unit will help the students to become more involved with the world around them while learning information to make them more successful citizens, I cannot wait to meet each and everyone of you and I hope you are getting as excited as I am. See you all on September 4th if I don’t hear from you before then.
Sincerely,
Danielle Grace Fabian
